Processor Speed Readme
Module Description
-----------------
This module displays the current processor speed of the PowerBook on which
it is runnning. This is useful for knowing when the CPU speed has been reduced
for power conservation reasons. The module simply displays the number and
doesn't add 'MHz' or anything to it in order to save Control Strip space. If
anyone knows a symbol that can be used instead, I am (to quote Ross Perot) all
ears.
From the popup menu you can display a bunch of misc Powerbook information
ranging from power status to current printer selection. Although this doesn't
have anything to do with the modules main purpose I thought it a nice addition.
In particular I thought that it may allow users to do away with several of the
other Control Strip modules. Much of the information they provide is only needed
occasionally and doesn't really need to be displayed on the bar. This way you
can take a peek when you need it and save the strip space for other purposes.
